fireworks, adelaide, elder park, glenelg, new years eve, family new years eve

How do you celebrate New Year's Eve with your family? Do you head to the big events at Elder Park or Glenelg? Or do you have quieter celebrations closer to home? Do your kids stay awake to ring in the New Year?

We usually celebrate at home and then walk over to the local park where we can spot the fireworks from both the city and Glenelg. It means we get the excitement of fireworks, but don't have to worry about travelling home with the younger kids when they're too tired.
I can't imagine spending NYE in the CBD or Glenelg.. so many people! I do like that they have earlier fireworks in the city at around 9pm so that you can still bring the kids in to see the fireworks, but avoid having to get them home at 12am.
